Amazing People 1

Through it all we are meeting amazing people and making new friends.

Medical Care: Gorkha 2

Medical Care: Gorkha 1

John, our medical team member has been providing needed healthcare. Temporary medical centers have been in a tent, a school and going door-to-door.

Temporary Shelter

Enough material to build temporary shelters have been distributed to house  thousands. Members of our team helped build one of them. It was to give shelter to two of the PRC staff member's families. The framework was made out of nearby bamboo.

Epicenter Homes

Here are are few shots of people and their damaged homes.

Mosquito Nets

With people staying outdoors or in temporary shelters, another big need has been mosquito nets.

500 nets had already been delivered. We delivered 1000 more. 200 were still needed so those are being delivered today.

Note: PRC first nets with the elders/leaders of the districts. This way they can coordinate their efforts and better assure fair and safe distribution of any goods.

Beautiful Place

The epicenter of the initial quake, Gorkha,  is an amazingly beautiful place. The Himalayas are extraordinary. It can be a challenge to walk over to the neighbors for a visit. No needed for a stair stepper.

We joked that me being large, white, hairy and in the Himalayas, there may be Yeti sightings wherever we pass through.
